Fish Lake-Unitas
#1
I took our group of scouts up to Fish lake/round lake are last week end. Trail was muddy and steep but the fishing was excellent. The graylng were in full spawn and within 10 feet of shore. We caught so many we got tired of it. We also caught a bunch of nice brook trout that were raiding the freshly laid grayling eggs. If the hike wasn't so long, I would love to fhish the area again later in the summer. Chicken.

We used a fly and a bubble on spinning gear for the grayling. Just about anything worked with the best being a bead head (prince nymph or scud) but we also caught them on mosquitos and one kid used a renegade and did alright as well. They were mighty feisty and put up a pretty good fight for their size. We caught almost all the brookies on panther martin spinners gold and silver with red. good luck. Chicken.
