I met jerry at 5:30 this morning for some catfishing on the jordan. The fish agreed with us! I wound up with 2, both about 16" long. Jerry(the lucky dog he is) got 5, and they were bigger. One was lots bigger, at 24". Once the sun was up full, the fish laid off. So, I tried for a white bass. Got 4 of them in a little under an hour, then hooked a dinky walleye. Heck, all of them were dinks. The bass were only 5" long, the walleye maybe 8". The cats all took shrimp and carp, the whites a little yellow curl tail. I don't think it was worth the 5A.M. wakeup call, though.

[cool]Nice report, Radar. That sucks that the action stopped when the sun came up. Hope that isn't the same at Utah Lake this weekend. That's where I'm headed. Without giving away your favorite spot, which part of the Jordan River were you at? Utah County, between 35th and 45th south, etc.?

Where did you fish on the Jordan? I'm kind of tired of catching mudders so I'm been trying to broaden my horizons and try to catch some whites on some lures instead of drowning a worm.

It was just above 45th at that big waterfall hole. I also saw what I thought was a big old brown trout jumping there. I'd like to catch him!
I hope the cats still bite while the suns up at Utah lake. I'll be out there with my folks, too.
