#1
Take a look at this! This fish was caught today, it is about 24" and about 6lbs. I did not catch it and promised to keep the details under wraps. They are out there so go get them.

[cool]Wow, nice eye! WHere is Cutler? I know it is on the Bear River, but is it near Brigham City or Tremonton? I've been out on the Bear by Corinne once but that was a couple of summers ago.

Wrong side of the mountain. It was on the Cache Valley side.

[cool]O.k., so is it by like Petersboro, or Garland, in that area? I've got a buch of old Great Uncle's that have a ton of land by Mendon, if you know where that is.

OK, you all have my attention. WHERE DO I BEGIN ON CULTER?? I swear every lake has something called the rockpile! Listen Moose, I ski culter, all I've ever "felt" is slimy muddy bottom! Now I'm not asking for anyone to give away their prime secret locations, I can find my own, I just don't know where to begin to look. Unless your up the canyon, its more like a swamp!

The only rocks I know of is the old train bridge near Cache Junction. This is up river from there on the Bear.

Hey Red-head welcome to the site. I am with you on this one. The only rocks in the whole area were put there by man. The only exception is the canyon before the dam.

As for fishing, find a nice deep shady spot during the day.

Moose and KJFN, thanks! All righty then! Since catching my first walleye (tasty!) and wiper just last week at Willard, I've decided they are well worth my efforts to learn. It appears that I'm going to have to start checking this place out too. I've also heard they are in the Bear, but again people are secretive as to where. If you have any hints on HOW to fish the river... I've gone there for the cats, and cat bait (carp). My little girl (4 years) loves to catch bait for me. Her last 2 were over 10 lbs!

Cutler is a big area. My best advise is to explore it and then find an area you like and then stay with it. Someone I know who fishes it a lot said he can fish a given area every day for several week and not catch a single walleye. Then one day he will start catching them and catch one every day for a while.
