[#804000]Extra Extra bassfishermen win Walleye tournment.[/#804000] [#804000]I played cameraman and limodriver as HuntN nailed 9lbs of walleye on back to back casts. He first caught a 4lb, and 2 minutes later(he played oral surgeon again) he drilled a 5.2 walleye. We won the walleye division by over 4lbs with only two fish being caught.[/#804000]

[#804000]Huntn, this bud's for you man. This was your day enjoy it[cool]. Those fish were so awesome[cool][/#804000]

Enough said, bass fisherman rule the world.

Good job boys.

The gunship knocks down another one.

I liked the photo of the plaque. I refuse to believe that tomeguns image in the reflection of the plaque is coincidental.

Dudes always trying to get extras that way.

Actually, I think we won by only 3.5lbs or so. Second place was in the 5.5lb range.

Thanks for the Bud, Tom. Now, it's Miller Time!

I was just thinking how wrong you were when you said that 1st 'eye I caught was gonna be big fish of the tourney.

You will be rewarded with many more big fish due to your genorsity. Fishing karma is more important than luck...

Wow! Super job men, those are some trophy eyes. Just wondering how the bass side of the event turned out.....did a walleye fisherman get the best bass? LOL. Hearty congratulations, and thanks for sharing with us here on BFT. Nails

Tomegun, did you actually say only two walleyes were caught from the whole tournament? Please clarify.

I was going to go to the tournament, but I am a poor starving student, so I opted to stay close to home, to save money for my family, and also because of the threat of afternoon thunderstorms, so I went to Jordanelle which is only 40 minutes drive.

Those perch were a huge nuisiance taking my big tube jigs and my 5 inch senkos, but I did manage to land four smallies in the 18 inch range though. It took me all day to do that so I would say fishing is rather slow/poor. I suspect the lightning/thunderstorms from the night before took the zap out of the fish...

I suspect with what you say about only two walleyes were caught, and this shows that fishing was indeed sucky on Saturday 6/26/04.

By the way, congratulations on winning the tournament with those nice impressive walleyes. They got some real mean size to them!

I think it's a toss up between Bass fisherman and Flyfisherman on who rules the world! Not...

Congrats on having the hot sticks and winning the tourney's walleye division. You guys rock!

Tomegun! Did ya save one of those big 'eyes for dinner? YUM! LOL!

Just to clarify, we won the Walleye division with 2 fish, total weight 9.16 lbs.

The teams behind us (places 2 through 5) all weighed in a 5 fish limit. I think the 2nd place teams' weight was in the 5.5 lb range.

When I caught those 'eyes I was fishing for bass (naturally) with a jerkbait. After I caught the first one we started looking for others in the same area, which I did minutes later. Those 2 are the only walleyes we caught all day.

Thanks for all the nice words. It was great to be out there for such a great cause and was unbelievable to win the Walleye division, even if it was by "accident." [Wink]
