My friend and I wanted to try fishing at Ken's Lake just south of Moab last month. We didn't know exactly what type of fish it had in it so we thought we would just try some nightcrawlers. As we were returning from sightseeing down by Blanding, we thought we should get some crawlers before it was too late to fish. We tried as many places as we could in Blanding with no success. Several stores in Monticello yielded no results either. The last spot we tried was a combination gas station, convenience store and movie rental. I looked for worms back in the coolers but didn't see any. Two high school aged girls were behind the counter up front so I went to ask them. I asked, " Do you have nightcrawlers?" They looked at each other and one of them asked me, "Do you want that in VHS or DVD?"

Many years ago we had a neighbor in Payson who had family visit them from another state. They had seen numerous signs in Utah advertising night crawlers for sale, so they had stopped and purchased some of them. They brought them to their relatives and asked them how they prepared them to eat!
