I'm heading out to Huntington North Res. about 20 mile south of Price for 3 days. Does anyone have any info on species and methods? What has been your experience with this place? The campsites look pretty nice and I hear there are soem warm water species there. Any info would be appreciated,
NOTE: I am not asking about Huntington Reservior near E-Lake this Huntington reservior is south of Price and just north of the town of Huntington.

Huntington (north)has bass, bluegill, trout, and catfish, there is also alot of crawdads. They stock it each spring with brood stock(mostly 3-6lb browns, albino, and rainbow)so if you catch any it is useually quite large. However at this time of year it gets heavy rec use and the fishing is useually slow.Best bet is very early in the morning(4:00am to 7:00am)You can catch fish to 10lbs during those hours.Try repalas(countdown)or jakes lures from the dam.Close by you can also fish huntington game ponds,Or my favorite is huntington river low in the canyon(an overlooked fishery where you can catch some nice browns just fish the first 5 miles upstream from the power plant with a panter martin(silver or gold)or a mepps and youll generally get into some pretty nice browns.Good Luck and let us know how you do Lonnie
