My son, Corey, was there a week ago Sat. but did not fish. He hiked part way to White Pine Lake when a big black thunderhead started to dump on him. White Pine is open to fishing this next Sat. July 10.

I was at Tony Grove on the 17 of June and know they have planted the lake with rainbows. They are now (as of the 18 of June) charging you $3.00 for the day to park at the lake to fish, hike or picnic.

As for fishing either lake. I like to use a fly and a bubble. I slide a clear bubble on the line and then put a swivel on next. Then I tie a leader on, I use about a 4# test line tied to the swivel. Make this about 5-6 ft long. I use two flies. The lead fly I use just about any fly with white in the wings and about size #10. Put this fly about 1-2 ft from the swivel. The last fly, I would use the fly that you like best. Good patterns are renegade, mayfly, mosquito etc. Depending on the day, water and weather conditions, I may fill the bubble from partial to full (you chose). You can fish straight out or fish parallel to the shore. Other methods include bait, spinners, spoons. If you have something to float the lake with (canoe, float tube, etc.) use what you like to fish with best.

Hope you have a great outing. Let me know how you do.
