Well I've been on vacation since the 25th of June. I couldnt believe how many new posts there were when I got back, I think it said 147 posts and over a thousand new theads. well anyway hit stavation for a few hours Fri. and Sat. caught some smallies then headed up to Rockcreek to my favorite campsite only to find the forest service had blocked off the entrance[mad]. So I headed over to the Lakesfork river below Moon lake. we stayed there utill Sat. My youngest son (fishndude)and I had the river to ourselfs utill thurs. when hegotaway and his family came up. Fishing was good the rivers were just right. my son caught about a five pound brook that thing was huge I took pics but I'll have to post them later. We caught mostly Browns in the 15 to 22 range a few rainbows from 12 to 16. What a week man it was hard to come bak to work.

Had I known you were up there, I would have come up and said hello. We fished Rock Creek down to the ponds on Sunday. Had a great time, but not the size you were enjoying. Glad to hear you had a good trip. I bet your son is still smiling over the Brookie. That is huge! Can't wait to see a picture.

I'm sure cody was fishing down on the indian grond below the farm creek bridge. We were camped on Lakesfork just above the turn of to the Yellowstone river. Next time we go up I'll send you a PM and we can hook up and do some fishing. The brook he caught, I didn't tell ya I lost one that was bigger than that 15 minutes after he caught that one.

Sounds like I know where to go for our next trip. I love big Brookies! Maybe this weekend I'll run up and take a peek. Thanks for the info. It's only about an hour drive for me from Roosevelt, so anytime you come up, I'd be happy to meet up with you. My lower unit for my main motor is broken, or I would have been on Starvation with you. I hope I'll get it fixed before too long. I don't know how long I can go without a Walleye fix.[laugh]

Are you sure the big fish wasn't a splake?. I know people have been catching big splake below Moon Lake for a couple years now. There are also big brookies in Moon, so I could be wrong, just wondering.
Good Fishing, Kayote
