Fishing Report July 7
June as always is one of the top months to fish. Reeldreams anglers experianced great sport fishing out on the reef. Catches primarily were a mixed bag of Kingfish, Spanish mackeral, False Albacore, and Barracuda. Inshore the Spanish mackeral turned on again. We ran quite a few night snook charters on snook alley. When the bites hot , those snook can make a new plug look like a worn out relic in one evening. Baitfish is now prevelent in the bay, thus trout fishing has really picked up. Inshore expect trout to remain good, snook to be better on the stronger tides, and redfish to begin schooling towards the end of the month. Offshore I'm still hopeful of running into blacktip sharks and permit.
Capt. Jim Roberts
reeldreams@aol.com
www.fishsarasota.com
