Good Fishing
#1
Went out fishing this morning and had a nice trip. Any guess on where I went and how big the biggest fish was? I have attached a couple of photos of the fish that I caught. In two hours I caught about 20 fish and kept those three biggest fish. I will tell you this much. I wasn't at Strawberry. The fish were feeding like crazy this morning. I was using my float tube with sinking line and a yellow leech and a peacock curl. I will reveal my secret later on.

My guess is Bear Lake. These look like Cuttthroat's. I suspect the largest is 3 to 5 pounds. I would love to hear where you got these.

How many lakes now have Bear Lake Cutthroat in them? I know of Bear Lake, Strawberry and Currant Creek. I don't think Currant Creek consistently produces fish of that size and Bear Lake would probably be tough tubing right now. Does Woodruff have those type of cutts?

Hey Brady,

We need to go fishing. I have Mondays completely off. I can rearragne my schedule if you want. The Narrows has been too high, and bass fishing should pick up. Give me a call...

BMURR is right I caught those at first dam. They have put a lot of those big Cuts in there. The biggest one was 22" and about 4 lbs. I had another one on that would have gone 24". It was a lot of fun. If you want to take the kids to catch some big fish first dam is the place to go. I watched people from shore catching them as well. It was a lot of fun sit out in the tube and watching those big fish swim around. If anyone needs more information let me know and I would be glad to share.

Where is First Dam? I have never heard of it. Can you give some details of where and when you fished? Morning or afternoon?

1st dam in Logan Canyon? I also know that they planted 3rd dam in Logan Canyon with a bunch of brood stock browns a couple weeks ago. There were some huge ones caught. It's been a couple weeks, but there may be a few of those big browns left in 3rd dam.
