Pineview and willard 8-12 thursday
#1
Well got to pineview at 3 pm and my wife could make it down to the narrows but she said thewre was no way she can make it up!And me with my bad back there was no way i was about to carry her butt up either. So we went to were the campgrounds were and found a spot were there were no boaters or jet skiers. We used worms for perch spoons and jerk baits for muskies.I had one hit it felt like a snag on top of the water but snags dont jerk back.I havent had something jerk back that hard since i was fishing in florida.I gues after 10 or so casts i have about 1991 more to go next time! After that we went 2 hours without a bite so we decided to just go to willard since we were close by.I couldnt beleive how low the water was!We went into the state park area and there was no water anywhere in sight until we went over the hill!We ended fishing the channel and went 2 more hours without a bite.Even though we didnt hook up with any fish we still had a great time .It was great going to new places and trying new things.I am looking forward to next year when hopefully the water rises and we can do some fishing for some wipers there.

The best area to fish Willard from shore right now is the North dike or the SW corner, at least from what I've heard lately. A friend has gone to the SW corner for the last few weeks and caught wipers by casting a worm out and just letting it sit on the bottom. A few days ago Fishcrazy did good fishing along the North dike. Instead of turning into the North marina after you go under the freeway, just go straight and you will see a little road on the right, follow it to a parking area, from there you can walk right down the dike. I hope you have better luck the next time you make it up here. WH2
