South Fork or Ogden

I have some time off tomorrow an and to get out flyfishing (I haven't been out for over a month ouch). It looks like the Ogden is running high right now below Pineview. I was wondering what patterns you are having sucess on and how you are fishing them. Also, which one is better right now, S. Fork or Ogden. Any help on this is very much appreciated.

Don't know about what patterns to use, seems the flyfishing is a little tougher due to high water. However, I've been having tremendous luck (on the Ogden) with a spinner fished through slower moving deeper holes. Walking in waist deep water with such a strong current is an interesting task to say the least.

i have been fishing the ogden, both south fork, and the ogden in the canyon. it has been killer in the canyon, with 20 fish days not uncommon. 3 times in a row now i have caught more that 20 fish in 4 hours or so. all fish are taking rooster tails, blue foxes and rapalas. south fork has also been productive with a few larger fish coming out of there for me. but the water is high for both and i would imagine that flies would be hard to use.

What color rooster tails and bluefoxes? I am not a proud man I can put my flies away to catch fish.

the 1/16 ounce rooster tails in any green, rainbow, or olive color works well. make sure it has the gold blade though. and an the blue foxes use the # 1 in pink with silver, blue with silver, or the brown trout color works good. and the rapalas use the smallest floating ones u can find. and i would recomend fishing in the canyon it has been hot for me!
