I keep seeing references to "Lake X". May I ask where this lake is... or is that a secret code for "none of my business?[

East on I-80 then South on Hwy-40 to the Mayflower exit. Or Jordanelle is the common name.

Tomegun is a "man of much confusion"
So, when you see an "Item of much confusion", you can bet he had something to do with it. Lake X was made famous as mercury outboards secret engine test facility. Now tomegun loved the sound of that, but being a yamaha fan, he couldnt let mercury have all the glory of such a name to themselves. It just so happened he needed a secret name for his favorite fishing hole, so he made it happen. Somehow it stuck, somehow it grew, somehow his insanity has transfered into the lives of many people who will know jordanelle as "Lake X" forever. But I guess if he himself cant be a legend, he might as well have credit for re-naming a legendary lake. [laugh] Secret code for "none of my buisness" is just silence. Secret code for "I want your money" is tomegun's guide service. [signature]

So if your friend has caught that big of smallies, why hasn't he claimed the C&R record. A ten pound smallie is going to be bigger than 23.5 inches. Let me guess he didn't have his camera.

My father caught a monster last year, look up in the old posts, it was the first part of September last year at the perch party. He was reeling in a perch then bam right from under the boat a monster smallie wanted the perch more than he did. Caught it on 6lb test w/ ultralight tackle.

I can vouch for the truth of OEJ's claim at the Perch party last year. I witnessed the whole thing, sitting next to his boat in my tube. Polokid was also there. That was awesome to watch!!!
