Floating Tibble Fork for a few hours this afternoon
#1
I have 4 hours to spare this afternoon 2:30-6:30. I am going to go have a whack at Tibble Fork and see if I can land some of the bigger browns that I have been told exist in the deep side.

Anyone fish this one recently?

First Reservoir on the way up American Fork Canyon. You have to take the Y left vs. right to get to it.

There are loads of browns. I was up there about a month or two ago and saw them cruising the shoreline. Smaller ones but they were all over the place. Didn't get into em though, they were pretty damn picky and I didn't bring my fly rod.

Starting in January, Roy City will have an urban fishing pond. It is almost complete and will be stocked with LMB, Cats, Blue Gill and [Trout in season, spring and fall] The pond is located in west Roy at about 5150 S. 4250 W. There will be an emphasis on youth fishing but all are welcome.

When I use to fish it I caught 90% browns , but I fly fished it . Try over by the beavers home ( if it is still there ) on the steep side or the inlet . Try different nymphs underwater , or dry flies on top at the inlet . Pay attention to what is hatching if some bugs are on the water . Lots of fish in the stream too that will eat anything . Bigger Browns are in there but they get big for a reason . Good luck

I knew a guy years ago who would fish up there at night for the Browns. I remember him saying his biggest was 9 lbs.
