I hiked to Pittsburg lake and fished from noon to 2:00. I caught 29 brookies. They were very colorful but small and stunted. They averaged 6-8". I used a fly and bubble combo.

Is this lake up Am. fork canyon? If so, whereabouts? Above silver lake flats? I've always wanted to hit it.

Yes, its up Am Fork Cyn. Continue up Am Fork Creek toward Mineral Basin. Go as far as you can reasonably go. A four wheeler track continues to Mineral Basin. Just after you pass the mine reclaimation sign you cross the creek. the trail takes off at that point and goes straight up the right side of the canyon to Pittsburb. It's 1.3 miles to the lake. It's a wide trail but closed to 4 wheelers.

Cool. I know where you are talkin' about, I fished that part of the creek a year ago. The road up there is pretty narrow though. I will have to give it a try. Thanks nkunz.
