I just got home from fishing Mill Hollow. I fished until dark last night and from 7:00 to noon today. Fishing was not real hot but steady. Probabaly caught around 60 fish. I caught rainbows, albino rainbows, tigers, and brookies. The fish were on the small side. The biggist around 12". I caught fish on flies, worms, and dough bait. They didn't seem to want lures. However, the Albinos liked to follow my green bubble. I put on a green mr. twister and caught one rainbow and then hooked another which broke my line. It wasn't that big just fatigued line. It was the only green plastic that I had, so that ended that experiment.

Thanks for the post. I can't wait to go ice fishing and think that Mill Hollow might freeze over even before scofield. Has anyone been up to Mill Hollow in the winter? I'm guessing that it is not accessible.

I agree the ice is itchin me too. I bet you would need a snowmobile to get to mill hollow or a lot of hardcore icefishin energy and some snowshoes. That'd be cool, a week long winter, snowshoe, and ice fishing trip.

Once last spring we weren't getting any bites at Deer Creek. So we drove up to Mill Hollow. The snow had melted but the ice hadn't yet. Ever since then I've wanted to drive up and fish the ice. I'm hoping that I can find some cold dry weather so I can drive up to a frozen Mill Hollow.
But, I'm not holding my breath. Now you got me wanting a snowmobile so that I don't have to depend on driving. That would be way cool to take a week up into the mountains. I have snow shoes, but carrying winter camping gear + ice fishing gear will be quite heavy to carry the 3.5 miles to the lake.
