Last week it was good fishing in the bay just down from the boat ramp . Find the fish and should get some hook ups . Sounds like they may not be to thick in there now but should have some success still . Every thing I tried worked last sunday but only tried paddlebugs (white) , chartreuse Genz worm , maniacs 3" stick baits and whole minnows . Good fish finder helps a lot on finding them . Fish on the bottom was good at 28', but caught a few reeling up to 15' down when I seen some fish move thru . I wouldn't rule out bigger baits to fish with like 3" tubes or curly tails . Minnows I used were 3" to 4" in length and I would let them swim off with it before I would set because of the smaller hook I used . It was a blast last week . Hope it is the same for you this week .

we went to chicken creek east last sunday and had a fine time. it's easy access to the ice. pay at the post and then drive toward the cut and there you are. ice was 10 to 12 inches thick and we caught 6 fish all in the slot. but they were all nice and fat. good luck where ever you go.

Fished by the marina on Mon, Tues, and Fri(today). Mon and Tues fished to the West and North of the boat ramp a hundred yards or so(round the bend). 20-25 feet of water. Monday was fairly busy. Tues a little slower. Love the size. Mon 20" cut and Tues 21" cut. Fished with ice flies tipped with mealworms or nightcrawlers. Caught fish from 1-25 feet below the ice. They swam through at most all levels.
Today(Fri) made a quick trip up with my wife, son, and daughter. We got there about 1:15. Had snowed since Tues. There is 6-8 inches of snow on the ice with the botton 2-3 inches slush. The weight of the snow is pushing the ice down so when you drill you hole the water starts coming up out of your hole. Make sure your footwear will accomodate the slush. It may freeze up before tomorrow. Some places I could walk on the slush without breaking through.
We fished till about 4:00. My son and I caught 3, my daughter 1, and my wife hooked two, but lost them at the hole. Used ice flies tipped with mealworms again. Fished showed at all levels. Seemed like we were getting alot of looks, but no bites. I think the fish are getting an education close to the marina. One fish my son caught showed signs of begin hooked twice recently. Line scars on its side too. Flashers would show quite a few fish checking out the bait, but no bite. I could play them up or down a few feet, but they would not bite. Tried wattacrickets, but no luck with them. Bought some boogers on Thur, but didn't try them. At any rate great fishing for good sized fish. I am trying to talk myself into going up again tomorrow. Another storm was blowing in as we were leaving, so there could be even more snow on the ice tomorrow. Be careful, a truck was off the side of the road just before mud creek waiting for a tow truck. It was in pretty tight.
Good luck all!

Didn't measure, but I don't think it has changed much. Still 6-7 inches. It's still 18-20 cranks with my hand auger. That's about what it has taken all week. Sorry, guess I should pay more attention to depth instead of cranks...
