Pineview Ice?

Anyone see the ice conditions of Pineview the past week? Any ice on the narrows?

I drove by on my way from Causey on Friday, Very thin and scary looking ice in the narrows, lots of linear cracks from wind or wave action. No ice in the center of the main body.

I saw if Sunday afternoon. There were three or four spots with open water. It looked like about 80% of the lake was capped with VERY SCARY looking ice. I too have been watching it closely and can't wait to see if the perch have rebounded enough to make a fun day out of it.

Hopefully the forecasted colder temps. and snow will help finish off the open water. I hope the fishing is back up to where is was just a couple years ago. I introduced so many ice fisherman to the sport there, it is a shame what was happened to it.

I wouldn't go up yet, it looked too thin to me, but on christmas day there was a family ice skating around the wakeless buie line.

I drove by on saturday and maybe 80% of the lake was ice capped. Open water around most of the edges. Maybe by this weekend it will be ice, but even then it might be worth giving it another week, all depends on the weather.
