Good to here you got into them . One of these days I have to hit that water . I know that ride over Daniels and Strawberry in the winter time can be such a treat to drive thru . So how did the ice on Starvation look as you drove by ?

Wow, only 11 gills in four hours; that's the worst report I've herd from pelican yet. Bait wise that is exactly what I was icing them with earlier this year. How deep of water were you fishing in?

We were fishing in about nine feet of water where we caught most of our fish. Had we iced all the bites we got we would of done a whole bunch better. I think i seen your post i think you posted you were fishing on the south end. Could you give me a better description of just where you fished. I'm heading back up there.. thursday for some more action.

The ice on Starvation looked frozen around the bridge area, but it was snow covered. There was open water by the island we the birds nest on it. We could'nt see the area by the damn,it was foggy ther.

There is a small channel in the south east corner of the lake where fourstar farms has their pumps. That channel runs out into the lake for quite a ways and there is a small amount of depth change along that channel. The channel runs out into the lake and then gradually bends to the north. If you have a fish finder you can follow it out 400 yards or so and fish along the depth change, fish really seem to hold along it. The bottom of the channel is 9-10 feet deep and the surrounding water is 6-7 feet deep. As you take the highway around to the south, the very last place that you can pull down to the lake is where you want to park.

The east end along highway 88 has been the most consistent producer this winter and last. Sometimes the west end can go very dead. Just ask Kent............
Good Fishing, Kayote
