I am planning on heading out to pelican this thurs. for some bluegill fishing and was just wondering if anyone has any tips or wants to tag along. As long as weather permits I will head out there either wed. night or thurs. morning really early and will stay most of the day, if not all day.

Fish off of the highway on the east side of the lake. All the reports coming from the boatramp and west side seem to be worse than those of the other side. The northeast end gets fished the heaviest usually. It is where I used to fish until I found some hot spots off of the southeast corner. When I fished it at christmas the fish really seemed to make a change around 10:00 am from wanting a deadstick presentation to wanting an active jigging presentation. Good luck, I'll be out that way on sat and sun. If steinaker isn't hitting I'll head over that way.
