No cisco are coming in along Cisco Beach as of this morning so that may be a few days off yet. The launch ramp at Cisco Beach is useable, but be cautious. You will back your trailer down over the edge of the concrete and there is a sizeable (12") drop-off. When you go to pull your trailer back out use 4-wheel-LOW gear to "creep" it back over this ledge or you could literally rip off the trailer axle. As BLM mentioned the other day its fine for smaller boats (16' and less in my opinion) but larger, heavier boats are going to have a hard time getting back out.
We fished the rockpile today for cisco and it was great. Two of us limited out on cisco in about 1.5 hours. Plus we picked up one 21" cutt that was literally stuffed with 7 cisco which then nailed my jigging spoon. We checked several other boats and everyone was doing about the same. The fog was so bloody thick the ONLY way to locate the rockpile was to use a GPS unit. I wouldn't suggest going out there without at least a compass. If the wind came up and you didn't know which was shore was, you could end up as new fish habitat on the bottom! BE CAREFUL. Still an incredible amount of snow on the lake shore an really no place to launch outside of Cisco Beach. The State Park has talked about shutting off their deicers in the marina since they couldn't make any head-way the last few weeks. The marina looks like it is done for the year!
