Fished Viva Naughton for about 2 hrs on Monday (1/17). Very limited parking. No access at the dam or where the Marina used to be. Only places to park are at the very top of the hill(useless), and on the upper end by the bathroom. Parked on the side of the road and hiked down to the ice. Tough to get around if you don't have a snowmobile. About 2 feet of snow on the ice and 3-6 inches of slush in places. I walked the snowmobile tracks and fished the holes people left from the day before. (Left my ice scoop in the truck[crazy]) Fished in 4-5 places, 8-24 feet. Had looks and hits in all holes. Caught six fish in 2 hrs. Two were 16" footballs. The other four were the little 8-10" footballs. All were really fat fish. Used Boogers and jig heads tipped with meal worms and crawlers. Really quick, but pleasant trip. Sunny and no wind! Three other groups fishing.

Hi Chester
I fished Naughton on Saturday with two other guys and we only landed 2 all day. We parked in the smae area as you and walked the snowmobile tracks as well. I got skunked and the other guys landed 1 apiece. The first fish was a 19" splake and the other was a 16" rainbow. The fishing was tough to say the least. As we were leaving a guy and his son were leaving and they had 6 to 8 very large rainbows between 18 and 25". They had a snowmobile and fished on the other opposite side of the lake down towrads the dam. It is my understanding that the state of Wyoming is now in control of the lake. I sure hope that start plowing the road down toward the dam and the road at the boat launch.

Yes, they are having the derby again this year. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it, but I am going to try. Here is the link for derby info:
