I finally made the long trip to Pelican on Monday with my 3 kids. Met up with JedBurton and his wife. The fishing seams to be slowing down it took 6 hours to catch 10 fish. I hate when I spend more time driving than fishing and I catch less fish than the number of hours the trip takes. O-well I got to spend some time with my kids having fun instead of working. My 4 year old caught the biggest fish it was a 10.5 inch bluegill he still talking about it today and is ready to go ice fishing again. My other 2 kids only caught 2 fish. At least the weather was nice the kid never complained about being cold. Thanks for the help Jed.

I think the best part of the day for the kids was when the dog pulled them back to the truck.

] The good news is the bite didn't speed up too much so you didn't miss much by cutting out when you did. The bad news is as soon as the sun went down it did. For about 30 or 40 min. after the sun went down it was hot and I caught another 16" large mouth then just as fast as it started it went dead again. Anyway my wife had fun playing around with your kids. She said she is sorry for dropping Bryce in the water when she was getting him over the thin ice. My little brother aslo had a lot of fun towing your kids around on the sled. We will have to get together again sometime. Thanks again,
