]First off, I am a new member and have watched this board for some time. I am an avid fisherman from Utah county and look forward to meeting some of you out there on the lakes and streams! Anyway, My brother and I went to Rockport on Sunday last and fished out from the State park dock in about 40 feet of water. It was slow at first, picking up a few small trout and perch, but then about 11 the vexilar went nuts and the perchfest was on! As soon as it hit bottom, they were biting. We caught our limit in about 45 minutes! It was just like I remembered Deer creek and Yuba years ago. We were using Kast master with a small foxie jig (yellow) dropper 12" down.Always remember to keep an eye on your pole! Har har. You can probably tell by my post name where the fillets went. Anyways, I hope this helps someone else like your posts have helped me.P.S. My brother caught about a 2 pound chub on his jig. That is the biggest chub I have ever seen.
