We had a good day monday at the berry. Three of us iced 20+ fish and lost several. Biggest was a 21" cut but also caught a nice fat rainbow for supper. We were at the ladders and glow jigs with red eyes tipped with minnow worked best followed by green paddlebugs and whatacrickets. We were in about 25 feet of water and they were suspended at about 15.There's nothing like a successful day of ice fishing!

Welcome to the site redbeard . Great to hear you had fun out on the ice . How was the ice/slush/snow in that area ? Just wondering if I could get my 4wheeler on the ice there .

Great report! How deep was the snow on top of the ice? I've heard widely varying reports (from a couple of inches to a few feet, on top of mushy slush). I've got an old snowmobile that won't take deep snow or (especially) slush. I don't want to get stuck, but I don't want to stay home if the conditions are good. I would appreciate hearing from you or anybody else who has been to Strawberry recently.

I can only speak for the marina but today the slush was totally frozen and only about an inch or two of soft snow on top and below that is hard packed and frozen. No problem for the wheeler at the marina.

At the marina there is only 1-2 inches of snow on top of the hard packed and frozen snow and all of the slush has frozen. It is very easy walking and no prob for a snowmobile (even an old one) or a wheeler.

No slush at all! Just fish and ice at the ladders.

Hey Randy.
As ya know W is the factor. It blows the snow at the ladders over to Soldier Creek, HA!

I was at the Berry monday too! totally forgot it was a holiday!! I was in the Jakes Bay area along with the other 100 people or so!! way to many people to much noise for the fish to come around I only caught 3 cuts biggest 21" others 16"&17" and that was between 7:30am thru 9:00am before it got real crowded,I'll remember next time on a holiday to forget about going!
