Does anyone have an up date on Causey? I want to go there Saturday. Where has the action been the best? Is access OK?
Anything else that will help me catch some fish up there is appreciated. Thanks, DKS.

I went on Monday and was greeted with minimal success - only two bites, with no fish iced. I fished near the rock faces at the mouth of the middle arm in 15-80 ft of water. Numerous fish were marked on the finder, but they must of had lock jaw. From I what I have heard the morning bite is the best, with it shutting down around 11-12. Access was fine on Monday. I tried everything in my tacklebox and managed to get a few extremely light bites on a glow tube jig tipped with mealworms and smelly jelly. Good luck and let us know how you did.

The bite is certainly not as fast as it was a few weeks ago. But is best early - early. You can't get there too early! And if your first couple of holes don't produce quickly, I'd plan on moving until you find some that are more cooperative. The splake are still deep; coming off the bottom 8 feet or so most of the time. Kokes are suspended ~25 feet when they come through.
Good luck!
