Current Creek? Huntington?
#1
I'm looking for some new ice fishing spots. Is Current Creek accessible? Any current fish reports from Huntington? Both the Berry and the Port are getting hammered. I'm looking for a spot to miss some of the crowds. Any info will be appreciated! Fish On!

hey and welcom to the site!!

due to deep snow Huntington has not been hit verry hard for a while.. i'm sure that the fishing would be good there.. but getting on the ice and getting through the ice might be a pain.. with deep snow on the lake the ice might be over 3 feet thick or more..

the best thing i have found to use at Huntington when the ice is that thick is just a plan jig head with 1/2 a worm on it and drop it down about 3 to 4 feet under the ice..

sorry i dont know anything of Current creek..

but E-lake is just down the road from huntington the walk is a little tuffer but the fishing can be alot better.. i have had 75 fish days at E-lake on the ice.. minnows, worms, or mealworms tipped on your favorite jig will work great on most day's.. and more than likeley you will have the lake to your self all day..

Last word I got on Current Creek was that a snowmobile would be needed.

A guy from the archery club was up to current creek two weeks ago. He said the fishing was non stop. He caught one that was 18 inches long. The ice was 30 inches deep. Said he was on his knees with the hand augger before he broke through. With no new snow, I would think the road is open, but I wouldn't go without 4 wheel drive. If the road is snow packed, some of the hills will be slick.
