i'm going to give lincon beach a shot this weekend to try my luck on the walleys. they tell me to cast out curly tail jiggs. can anyone tell me what size jig head and jig to use. i'll be casting 8 lb. mono. also, what color works best? i'll be fishing from a 19' blue bayliner. where exactly are these springs i've heard about? how deep of water are people catching walleye out of? also, any tips on the white bass secrets would be helpfull too. good luck to everyone this weekend.

My favorite way of fishing Lincoln Beach for walleye this time of year from a boat is to hang a plastic jig tipped with half a crawler over the side of the boat and just drift with the wind. Keep feeling the bottom with the jig, kind of like bottom bouncing. Once in a while you'll get snagged, and once in a while the snag is a walleye. When you get too close to shore or out of the area you want to fish, just fire up the motor and head into the wind for a ways, turn off the motor, and do it again. It works, as long there is any breeze at all to keep you moving a bit.
