Opinions of Cuda 168EX Fish Finder

It looks like I will be getting the Cuda 168EX, can anyone give me impressions or experience with this one. It is very similiar to the 168 but a bit larger screen. I intend to hook this up to my Bighorn.

I also have thoughts on the Cuda128 Portable, I like the idea of the option of usind AA batteries but not sure about the portable tansducer. Help I cant decide.

[cool][#0000ff]I bought the 168, but have often wished I had spent a few bucks more for the wider screen model. Otherwise, I have been more than happy with my choice.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]My personal feeling is that you will get better performance and a longer trip by using a 12 volt gel cell. Also, unless you get rechargeable bitty batteries, you will spend a fortune on replacements. Even then, by the time you buy a full set of NiMH batteries, you might as well get the SLA.[/#0000ff]

Thanks I appreciate the advice, I will have to wait and see. I do see advantage to the EX with the wider screen.
