Willard report 4-6-05

[DRAKE]

This is my first official report as one of the newest members of the board. We arrived at Willard about 3:30pm and fished until about 9:30. We trolled deep diving rapalas along the North and West dikes and boated only one 3 pound Wiper. We change tactics at 7:30 and threw jigs along the West dike till about 9:00. My Brother in law hooked a Walleye and lost it at the boat. There was no sign of spawnig fish in close to the shore like splashing or rolling, which is usually a bad sign. On the way back to the South marina we fished the Mouth were the channel runs out and had no takers. Still early, COME ON WARM WEATHER!!!! I met my first Bigfish member at the marina and I have already forgotten his name, but if it was him that put the Bigfish decal on my windshield, thanks.
