On Wed. and Thurs. I fished DC and starvation. DC water temp was in the upper 40s and Starvation temp was in the lower 40s. I fished DC on Wed. with limited success. I am new to the area and was wondering if either of these lakes have pre-spawn bits. The water temp. in DC is right for a pre-spawn bit but talking with a state official that was doing a survey noted that there hasn't been any walleye caught from the anglers that he talked to. He said that fishing has been very slow, a few bows here and there witch does not interest me. Starvation was a very nice resevoir to fish. Great sturcture, but I thing it is just a little early. Didn't even get a bit. Talked with one other local, he didn't catch any thing either. I hope you other anglers have a little better luck!!

you moved to a state where walleye are not prized by most anglers. myself not included, i love eyes and chase them regularly. 9 out of ten outings are walleye hunts. if you ever want info on a spot you are going pm me i will share with a guy that loves eyes. also utwalleye is a great guy to pm for info. crossineye

Thanks for the info crossineye. I am thinking of trying UT Lake towards the end of the week if the weather ever straightens out. When do the eyes stop biting out on UT lake? I was also wondering if their are any other hidden under water areas that you have to be careful to avoid in a boat when traveling, I know bird island has a long point but anything else out there?

I lived in Mandan for a while, loved being so close to the Missouri. I caught alot of nice walleye up there.
