Were you fishing in the harbor or on the lake side?

[cool]Glad your daughter caught some fish. I went to Lincoln today and got some good exercise in my tube. Didn't catch a thing, not even a mudcat or carp (to use for bait, of course), with a worm and bobber drifting along behind me, and then after when I got blown off the lake, I still didn't get anything from shore. Before the bait approach I tossed a bunch of different jigs at 'em, but to no avail this time. I forgot to get minnows last night from Sportsmans[pirate][pirate]. Still, with the barometric pressure dropping like a rock today, I don't even know how well I would have done with them! I cruised up and down Lincoln from past the 4th springs area down to about the 2nd springs, and I didn't see anybody with a fish on at anytime. I think it was just one of those days. I'm gonna wait till we have about 4 warm days in a row and then hit it next time (with minnows in hand, just in case they don't want my jigs!)

Sorry to hear that you got skunked.I havent fished any of the springs .The eyes i have been catching have been from the "L".And they have been far from shore i have had to use a 2oz weight to get my bait where they are feeding at.

We were fishing to lake side, windy and rough but good. A few others around, but I didn`t see anybody catch anything.

[cool]Hey ocean, I've always wondered which is the "L." Is that where that long old dike comes out from the boat launch channel thing?

Not sure if the channel follows the dike in a shape of the "L" , but here is a pic of the area off Terra Server . Maybe this could help . I'm still learning the area myself .

I have also caught some eyes and my wifes channel cat at the end of the road were you launch your boats. The left side has a gate thats locked and the left side is open.I have fished the very end of it were it faces north. The eyes there have been way off shore also. There seems to be a sandy spot and i cast out as far as i can then reel in till i feel the rocks and i stop reeling there. That way my bait is right on the outskirts of the rocks and floats up a couple of inches and also it helps avoid snags.I will be in that spot monday and tuesday evenings after work .From 630 to 830 is when i catch my fish there sometimes i get lucky and catch one in the earlier in the day.
