I just wanted to say thanks from a newbie to all of you, (esp. Tubedude, with his highly informed/reasoned comments).
Before wandering into this forum, I had no idea of how to approach the whole concept of tubing.
Now I'm set up, enjoying using the fc4 three or more times a week, and it's a huge addition to life in general.
You're all a great bunch of folks, and I'm trememdously grateful for your help and support.

[cool][#0000ff]Glad to have ya aboard and happy to hear that everything is working out okay.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We have much fun here. Just be sure to pass it on. I think we all have memories of people, times and places over the years that are responsible for helping us speed up the learning curve. I know I have benefitted from good reading and some good associations. Of course, I am "creative", in my own right, and I am always messin' with stuff. That has helped me learn a lot on my own.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I only wish I had taken more pictures over the years, so that i would have more of a photo record of the different stages I have gone through in tubing. But then, when I was using a naked rubber inner tube to fish from, when I was a kid, who woulda thunk that tubing would ever get to be where it is today?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I really am happy that I have documented and taken pics of as much as I have. Even if I never put my book in print, I like to think that I have been able to help more people get more enjoyment out of this crazy pastime...with fewer catastrophes. I had to learn the hard way on most issues.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]So, Phraser my friend, be properly grateful. I guarantee that as you once were, there will be plenty of newbies in the future, asking the same questions and looking for the same answers. Although some members have come and gone, as their questions have been answered, a lot of our members still hang around and we have a lot of regular "lurkers" too. That's cool. All are welcome. [#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The point is, we have a good core group of happy tubers who help a lot in providing good background and timely input for all of us. I readily admit that I have learned much from other members. Yahooooo.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]So, keep on keepin' on...and pass it on when you can.[/#0000ff]

Hey Phraser,
Your quick move from acknowledged novice to successfully putting fish in the boat (er, tube) is a testimony to the effectiveness of this site. Thanks to all who contribute and to our fearless leader and head tube nut, TD.
