Utah Lake kitties is a wantin to play
#1
Got my boat engine back together Mon. so called a friend & we hit Ut. Lake Tue. evening. Had heard that the cats wuz chompin on minnows over by the new marina North of Pelican Pt. They had moved down just on the N. side of the point in about 3' of water & they wuz chompin the minnows. Only had about an hour & a half to fish there but boated three nice ones, biggest about 8 1/2 lb. Hadda split early 'cause when the sun went down, turned my nav lights on - or tried to anyhoo. No go. Got the spotlight out, same sh--, so we headed back to Lindon.

I'd love to post some pics of the catch but I lost the software disc for my digital & have reformatted my hard drive since I loaded it. It's gone. Guess I'm gonna have to invest in new software!! DUHH! Goin' brain dead.

Did see a couple trailers in the new marina parking lot & saw one about 19' boat go in & trailer up there. Was down there Sun. evening fishing off the dike & there was a sign on the roadway advising against launching there due to navigational hazards. That's why I chose to launch @ Lindon. Guess the lake has come up enough now that it's safe to launch there. Next time I get a chance, I'm gonna try it. If I sink or tear something up, I'll post about it.

There was a article on the marina in the paper this week. The city and DWR have received federal funds to fix it as it is the only marina on the west side of the lake and the growing population in that part of the county. Plans to fix up the marina have started already. If I remember correctly most of the work should be done this year. There is no charge to use it until they finish the improvements at which time they plan on charging the same fees as other harbors like Lindon and Provo.

Excellent! I love paying $10 to access the marinas.[mad] Too bad theyre not all owned/run by the same entity, that way you could pay to enter one and be good to go at the others the rest of that day.

Often times you can go to your camera's website and download the software (drivers, etc) for free.
