Sounds like you guys had a pretty good day overall. It doesn't look like Schofield has come up a lot, hopefully as the runoff really gets going it will get a bunch more water.
It's too bad you didn't land that big fish down at Lincoln beach. I'll bet it would have given you a run for your money! Tell Sam congrats on the nice big eye.

[#505000]Fishluvr, Rvanman, another friend and I got there around 1pm and fished directly across from the State Park Boat Ramp. It started slow but after awhile we were knocking them dead with the minnows.[/#505000]

My parents and I were also up there yesterday. We fished an undisclosed area(sorry, we're going every weekend here on out.) Man o man, we killed them! I got 25 fish. Litterally. I kept count. My dad got 22, and my mom 23. All the fish bit well all day long. The only problem we had today was big fish snapping our lines. I had us on a #6 vanish leader(which really made a big difference in the #'s caught) and these big buggers would just break it right off. We did manage a few big fish for the day, though. The biggest went 6 1/2 pounds and 24 1/4" long. One big fat male hook jawed rainbow. We caught others that were in the 20-24" long range that took the ride home with us. We limited on these nice big fat rainbows.
Next week I'm going to be in the exact same area with my pontoon boat drifting the prefered bait 25 feet out. Hopefully then I can get one of these truely big trout up to the top.

Man just think next week you will be using bait bigger then those bows, looks like a fun day though, and lucky has the catch of the day.

[#505000]Ya that was us with the casting nets. Not too terribly sucessful with them at first. We caught enough minnows for bait, but when it got later we were able to get enough minnows to stock up for awhile. I plan to burn through a few this Wednesday if the weather holds.

I wish I had a camra. Till next december, though, no dice. I gots a truck payment to pay every month now! Also, if my computer hadn't crapped out, I'd used the scanner. But the scanner isn't compliant with XP. So I'm up a creek without a paddel, pretty much.

I was at scofield. I can't say the exact location(my dad would filet me alive) but go to the second state park and fish the rocks. And if you see me up there, I didn't say anything.
