Grantsville Reservoir camping

I have never been to this reservoir, but I need to go to Grantsville this weekend and thought about doing some camping and fishing. Is there any shaded tent camping near the reservoir.

There is no shade if you plan to camp next to the water. I would advise you to bring extra tent stakes or another way to secure your tent. There is always strong wind in the morning out there, and I have seen tents blown out into the water.

Thanks. Do you know if there is camping within a reasonable distance from the reservoir that might be a little better?

Not much shade there . Camping up one of the canyons might be ok . South Willow has camp grounds . It is a few miles south of the turn off to Grantsville Res . Lots of private property around too .
