chub minnows, or redsides
#1
which do you prefer? sometimes when you buy frozen minnows at sportsmans wharehouse you have a choice. chub or redside. some folks think that a minnow is a minnow and some swear buy one or the other. do ya think it matters? or do you think one works better than the other.

First - baby june sucker
Second - live gizzard shad
Third - spotted owl cut up into 1 inch chuncks
Fourth - bald eagle chicks butterflied and soaked in anise

Actually I agree...you can't beat sucker...whether it's cut up or in whole minnow form.

I guess that depends on the body of water you are fishing and the species. But red shiners have worked well for me.

Speaking of Carp, I'm heading out today on my lunch break to the pond at the end of the parking lot here at Novell. Got me a couple pieces of bread and a fishing pole. Gonna try and catch me some carp for kitty bait. Hopefully I can catch a bunch of the smaller ones instead of the big 10 pounders. They're really gonna appreciate me stocking the breakroom freezer with dead carp this afternoon!!! [cool][Tongue]
