Fished Bear Lake today with my 9 year old daughter. We started off South Eden and picked up one cutt within 10 minutes. Then we moved to East of Eden and trolled down to Second Point and back. Only one cutt to show for it. We tried everything from 10-80 feet with and without downriggers. Both fish were caught in about 25 feet. We then stopped off at South Eden on the way back and really got into the fish in water 30-40 feet deep. Best luck came on a 000 dodger with a small rainbow spoon with the cannon ball dragging bottom. My kid also did well using an old deep diving Fat Rap in shad color on a flat line with suspended fish. There was one other boat anchored off the "willow tree" in 40 feet and they were jigging and doing well. We saw them boat at least 4 fish. All in all it was a great day, flat water, and sunny. Fished a total of 4 hours.
