We went to Soldier Creek Saturday got there early ended up being lots of boats. It was slow only caught half a dozen all in the slot. Glad to see fish cops checking everyone as they came off the water.

I was up there Saturday volunteering for the DWR passing out brochures on Strawberrys regulations and fish identifacations. I was passing them out to boaters and fisherman on top of the ramp and the officers were checking them at the bottom when they loaded up. I think it is a great thing that the DWR is up there checking and reminding people of the rules. I had a pretty good time earning my dedicated hunting hours by doing this and would jump to do it again. Earn credit hours, and bs with a bunch of anglers while doing it. The hard thing was not being able to go play on the pond while watching all the people preparing to launch and getting ready for fun![crazy] I learned some new tricks from a very serious kokanee angler from California. He has it figured out and had quite the set up on his boat to do it. He taught me a few tricks for Strawberry and the Gorge. I can't wait to try em![Wink] He said the best kokes they can muster in Cali is 1 pounders. He said he just gets spoiled when he comes to Utah to fish for Kokes. Later.

I visited briefly with a guy who was passing them out at Renegade, he was also doing it as part of his dedicated hunter program. There was at least one guy passing them out at The Strawberry Marina, but I didn't chat with him.
