Has anyone tryed the Parvo River close to where it dumps into the Lake?
I used to do well there, but LBH is closer to me. If anyone has tryed it (off the shore) please post.
Also, I don't have a proc but I thought you could not fish for Wallies in the river from x to x ??? Am I mis-informed?

Hey tube dude, you sound pretty confident there are still walleye in the river. May I ask how you know that for sure? You see some with your polaroids? I know this year is very "different" but aren't they usually gone by late June?

Last Tues. when I was there, I saw two guys wading in the river who hooked and brought up a 16 - 18 inch walleye just as I walked up, at about 11:45 in the morning. They were casting 1/16 oz jigs, looked like yellow or chartreuse to me. They were on the South side of the river just barely upstream from the little shack and June Sucker egg taking station (about a mile upstream from the lake).
Hey Pat, I'm actually going to hit the exact spot you're talking about just below the Center Street bridge on the South side of the river today at lunchtime with a coworker. I'll let you know how I do. Midday isn't exactly an ideal time, but the best time to fish is when you can get away, right?

Thanks for the info! I am jealous, I live 1/2 mile from the Provo river... probably 3/4 mile to a mile from where you are talking about fishing and have never caught a walleye. I only tried once though. [crazy]
So, the "road from the airport" and "dikes" you referred to previously. I assume that is between the bridge at the inlet and where the stream runs real close to the bend in Casperville road?

Cat man. You mind if I watch? I was going to run 3 miles at lunch but I may rather drive over and watch you "apply the trade." You talking noon to 1ish? When you folks say Center street bridge, do you mean the bridge on 113... at the inlet? You talking downstream from there? That's pretty much lake this year isn't it? Though last year that was probably a good mile or so of river.

I fished the river about a mile from the lake and had great luck on spinners. I caught 4 brown trout in about an hour. The trick is finding areas slow enough to get the spinner blade spinning when you cast upstream. Once you find a spot, the fish bite often. All the browns I caught were smaller than 14 inches.

Thanks all... I am just getting tired of paying $5 every day to go into the LBH.... BTW, I went there lastnight after the storm blew over. I lost a few and caught a few. A gentalman next to me was new to Utah and asked for some pointers. I gave him some and told him about BFT as well... Heck, where do you think I got my pointers from[laugh]

Sorry I didn't get your reply in time before I left. I was busy at work trying to get what I needed to done before I left for lunch. I went down and drove on the south side of the bridge downstream from the bridge -- yes at the entrance of the state park -- and parked in a pullout just downstream of the walking bridge. We fish from there downstream for about 300 - 400 yards. We casted everything we had at them: small blue fox spinners, jigs, rapalas, a tubedude special roadrunner jig, and I casted a worm below a bobber and let it drift downstream and then sit in the current. I also tried drifting the worm along the bottom with no weight and no bobber. I tried a little slackwater pocket against the bank with lots of logs and low overhanging trees too with no luck. Not a nibble, nothing the whole time. I felt the water -- it was very cold, much colder than the main lake. I'm not sure if that means that most fish are out in the warmer water in the main lake or if they just had a serious case of lockjaw. Again, it was still fun to get out for a bit though. We fished from just after noon to just after 1 oclock.

Thanks Kevin, it might be the weather! You should see it now! Completely overcast and the wind just kicked up to 40 MPH I would guess. The fish knew it before it happened maybe? My father just went out from 7:30 to 11:30 on Deer Creek without a nibble as well! First time he has "been skunked" there this year!
Now, isn't that terrain pretty tough walking/accessing now that the water is so high?

There's a halfway overgrown dirt road that goes down to the riverbank there that we walked down. Lots more trees have started to overgrow the riverbanks down there, but there are still quite a few openings where you can get access to the edge and have room to cast.
