Bass @ Jordanelle?
#1
I plan on going to Jordanelle this weekend for the first time and was wondering if anyone could point me to the most likely area of the resevoir. I will be taking my float tube and as long as the wind gods don't kick up I should be fishing from that. I know that the entire resevoir contains smallies, but if someone could direct me to a good place to go on my float tube I would appreciate it. Also is there going to ba a fee associated with at lake X or is there places I can fish that I won't have to pay?

TIA,

I just spent tuesday and wednesday up there. I would suggest launching your tube at the personal watercraft ramp up the provo arm. Kick your way across to the south side and fish all that structure working your way west, especially the points. I had good success with drop-shot, jerk baits, plastics and a few on spinnerbaits. There is alot of new structure under water with all of the spring run off so try and rig your baits weedless. The drop-shot bite is very soft so if you pressure at all, set the hook. I am not sure if there is a fee to launch your tube or not. Good luck.

I think that you were already given the information you needed on where and how to fish for them, plus that area has the advantage of it being wakeless. You can also try the west side by the personal watercraft ramp, and paddle west and south from there. Be aware that this area is definitely not wakeless.

Unfortunately, you should be prepared to pay an entrance fee. In order to avoid paying one you would have to carry your tube and tackle a long ways and either walk in from north of the marina on the west side, or walk in from the north from the highway on that side. In either case you are in for a long walk.

Thanks, I am definately prepared to pay if I need to, I just didn't want to waste my money. I definatley would like to avoid any swampings by big wakes.

1) Pwc boat ramp
2) Main boat ramp
3) Rockcliffs ramp
4) Old road up off the north end
5) The north west bays by the sewer pond.
