went out on starvation last friday on my pontoon and the wind was just wrong and the fishing ended up being really lowsy (only one 6" largemouth to show for my efforts. Then on monday I went out on the lake again with Rapo (a super nice guy by the way). On monday in the morning we did well on smallmouths with 5 nice sized ones for the table, and towards the evening we caught 4 fat little walleye. Not a real fast day as far as the fishing went, but a beautifull day on the lake and a lot of fun visiting with Rapo,

Hey guys....Jed is not telling you everything, he out fished me 9-0, but it is not the first time I have been skunked, and I am sure not the last. My "Ole Pappy" once told me there would be days like that. The most important part of fishing for me is to relax and have fun...I am not a commercial fisherman. Jed was a good fishing partner and I very much enjoyed his company, we had fun, and that's the name of the game, at least for me. I had one concern while we were on the water...my new Merc powerplant didn't have any top end power. At half throttle it run fairly good, but at full throttle it would bog down. At the end of the day, I dropped Jed off at the dock to get my truck so we could load. While he was backing down I happened to think about the air vent on the fuel tank, and you probably guessed it, I forgot to open the fuel tank vent. I have been an aircraft pilot since 1957, and when I told my wife about my goof up she said, where was your "Check List." Jed, it was a fun day, looking forward to fishing with you again!!
