Thanks BFT for the C.A.S.T help
#1
The BFT guys saved the day. Because of our guys, they were able to have as many kids that they did. Unfortunately, 24 kids were turned away. But, the Bft folks had only 7 days notice.

There was 107 participants and famlies. 225 people all totaled(boat captains, shore workers, cooks...etc). $445 was raised by the raffle.

I saw Kent, Bassrods, and spoke to a couple others that I didn't get their "usernames".

" We received alot of thanks from participating famillies, even some tears of joy and gratitude from one mother".

"This was the biggest event we ever" 38 groups and 36 boats all totaled.

I would like to thank you guys from the Bureau of Reclamation and myself for helping out on short notice.

It wasn't about the fishing. Its about putting a Smile on a face that can't do what we can do. Thanks Folks [Smile]

Hi Tommy,

It was nice meeting you and many thanks for posting this event on BFT. You are right, it was not about fishing, but putting a Smile on a face that can't do what we do. I was the first out and I think I was the first back in. I spent the rest of the time helping load and unload boats. It was fun watching the kids get off the boats. There were many funny moments...one was a 51-year old man with Down's syndrome. He was on one of the pontoon boats, and as he slowly walked off the boat I asked him if he caught any fish, he said, YEP, then slowly passed me and held up two fingers and said, TWO. Not once did he look at me.[cool] The mother you talk about that was crying with joy may have been the one in my boat. She started crying out in the lake. She was overwelmed by all the boats that showed up, how far we drove and all the gas we were burning. I told her that we were all here because we want to be, and we hope we brought a little joy to your day, because you sure did mine. I'll never forget Bonnie and Jennifer.

Your time, effort, and patience was greatly appreciated. Sandy, I was impressed that you made it from Vernal. Thanks again
