Is anything happening at Bear lake

I am here at Bear Lake and haven't had any success. I went out Sunday afternoon and fished the east side directly across from the Utah State Park Marina in 30-50 ft. of water. I marked a lot of fish but no takers. I plan to fish the Cisco Beach and Rockpile areas tomorrow and possibly Thursday or Friday. I did speak to a local guide named Jim at Pugstones Store. He said to troll large raps or flatfish at 80 ft. or so. Troll at 1.3-1.9 MPH. Will report if I have any success.

Today we fished from North Eden to South Eden Canyons in 110" down to 35' of water. Marked a lot of fish in water below 40' and not too many in the upper depths. Landed one small lake trout (16") in 30' of water. Caught it on a silver Kastmaster. Spent a small fortune on large raps and flatfish but no luck with them. I will try fishing with worms on Friday and see how that is.

Speedboats and jetski's! COME ON LABOR DAY!!!!!!!!!! Ben so busy on the water this summer that I only took my kid out wakeboarding/tubing 5 times! I hope she freezes up this year so I can get some fishing in. [signature] |
