Electric Lake this weekend
#1
I am taking the family camping up to Electric Lake this weekend. Just wondering if anyone else was planning on heading up that way. If so stop by and say Hi. I will have my White Ford with a camper on it and we will be camping by the lake.

What part of the lake will you be at? I mostly likely will be there this saturday looking for somw walleye baits and maybe a troutski. I will be at the boat ramp side looking for minnows and maybe i will go by the dam for some trout. Not sure if i will go or not depending on work.

I am also hoping to thin the Shiner population as well. My biggest problem is getting the kids to leave the traps in the water long enough for them to go.

The weekend looks nice and I hope the fish are hunrgy.

Just a thought have you ever tried suspending your traps from a float or something that will keep it off the bottom maybe a foot or so? I was thinking of trying this with one of my traps..

Hope to see ya if you make it up that way.

no i have never done that at E-lake.. i have done that at other lakes for chub and carp minnows tho..

yeah i have the same problem with my kidd's trying to take the traps out to soon.. and not wanting to leve them alone..

here is some advice for you and the kidd's.. it is getting very cold up there in the mornings and evenings.. so make sure your ready for the cold up there. you well probley see frost in the morning up there.. and if the patern stays the same as it has all summer expect rain in the afternoon.. around 2pm. to 5 pm then it will clear out..

Cool Crisp morning and nights, I love it. This is my favorite time of year right at the end of summer when all the hunts start up and the weather in my book is perfect. "I hate the hot summers".

Looks like the heater in the camper may get a workout, It even may keep in the kids in longer so I can get more "free time fishing in"
