How's Pelican?
#1
Planning trip to Pelican Lake and was wondering how the weed/ moss beds are plus the water level and ramp condition. Don't know what to take - bass or kick boat. Anyone been there lately?

Welcome to the site!

Pelican has been on fire! Get up their quick!
Bass boat will put you anywhere you need to go. The water levels are just fine. Your gonna catch a freakin ton of bass!

So, what do you do for AMSOIL?

Hi UTBASS,

Thanks for the info on Pelican. Looks like the bass boat will be in tow! I know the Kinami watermellon black flake 3" tube will rock em hard! (Secret's out) I'm an independant dealer for Amsoil. There are alot of great articles on my website vitalsynthetics.com and you can check out the products on Amsoil.com (You can use my ID no. 1072734 to order). I run Amsoil in everything from ice auger to automobiles. The 2 stroke oil definitely improved the performance of my old Merc XR2 150 on the bass boat. I run Amsoil 0W30 motor oil in my autos and enjoy the extended drain and fill intervals; change oil every 35,000 miles or 1 year, oil filter 12,500 miles or 6 months. There's the quick pitch, have a good one!

Hey, what's the price per quart on that 10W30 auto oil. I have a 100 mile per day commute and it seems like I am changing my oil everyother week. It would be great to extend that interval a little farther.

Hey Fairwayphilly,

There is a 10W30 and a 5W30 that is 5.85 retail price per quart that will run 1 year or 25,000 miles. However, I spoke of and use the top of the line 0W30 (1 year or 35,000 miles in my rigs which gives the highest performance and engine protection. It retails for 8.35 per quart. If you become a preferred customer for $10 for 6 months you will get wholesale pricing and save 10 - 20% . Spend $100 and you'll save money this way. This oil is great stuff, I commute from West Valley to Springville each day and have been running it for 3 years. Less oil changes + more fishing time!

Bye

Let us know how you do. I would really like to make it to pelican again to hammer those bucketmouths but gas prices are keeping me. Anyone wanna share gas and head up? Smile

Am also interested in how ya do. More specifically how the bug situation is and particularily the mosquitos. Am planning an early Oct. trip there and my only concern is the mosquitos since we camp out and fish from tubes. I pretty much know the fishing will be great.
