East canyon

Float tubed East Canyon from 11 to 3 caught a lot of small fish near the shore on sparkle jigs. Did have one suprise hook up, a 7" Crappie, I had heard they were in there but that is the first one I caught there.

I have been hearing about crappie there for about 6 yrs now. As for the smallies only a couple years but they are over running the banks now.

You are right James, there have been crappie in East canyon for at least 6 years, maybe as long as ten years. A lot of times when the temps change you will see the smaller ones floating on top that could not take the change.
