Well had to see how my favorite body of water was doing. When we got there the wind was blowing hard.So we went by the dam and man there were a ton of fish jumping in there! They were kinda silver and black so i figured they might be more rainbows planted.Not! [mad] They were carp and they were there by the thousands jumping everywhere.Wish i would have brought my casting net.Well i caught one carp minnow on a green jig and lisa caught a perchie on another.The perchie was tiny but still its good to see some younguns in there.The water by the dam was pretty deep.The measuring stick there said it was about 60 feet .Dont know how exact it is but that height looks pretty good this time of year.I havent seen the water up so high in years.You can see were the water had dropped off and its still higher than the last several years at thi time. Going back tomorow to eradicate some carp minnows and maybe a bow or two.Hopefully the wind isnt as bad.If there is any walleyes in there they must be having a feast!

[cool]Hope you get some troutskis on your return trip, ocean. But, if not, you should bust out some doughballs on treble hooks and take care of some of those big fat carp and get yourself some good kittie bait. There's still a couple of months left to land big cats at Utah Lake with that stuff!

It's good to see so much water in there though, and to hear about the small perch. Hope they had a big spawn this year to get established nicely. I know there's a few 'eyes roaming around in there and getting big, but hopefully the DWR can plant a bunch back in there in a year or two.

Stupid little carplets! It's nice to see a dink perch though. Hopefully they come on fast and strong over the next year or two. Time for the wallaces to make a comeback!
