Willard 9/13
#1
Hit Willard this morning around 9 a.m. Fished till noon. We caught 3 nice wipers over by the feed yard. There were fish showing on the graph in the morning but they moved not to much later. Caught a big surprise as my friend was letting his shadrap out he got a big hit and we just knew it was a big wiper. It fought so hard right up to the boat. A really big channel cat. Caught the thing on top in 15 feet of water. He was just over 24 inches. As we were leaving there was a guy with a big stringer of wipers. He said they got into a big feeding frenzy and they took anything they threw at them and they had the fish to prove it. They had 12 wipers. It wasn't that way for us. But I did see a few other boats and wondered if they were BFTers.

[black]One of my fondest memories of fishing Willard was early AM overcast this time of year and got into a boil (feading frenzy) that lasted over 30 minutes.[/black]
