Toon Mantua Saturday
#1
My wife and I fished the rough waters of Mantua today. We were having a tough time getting the fish to bite until CBR and Bassackwards called us over to join them. Thanks guys for the help. The first fish on for my wife was a nice LMB and after that our luck turned even better. We found fish in several places where the weeds would drop off. Most fish caught were Bluegills, with a few Perch and smaller Bass in the mix. We looked for water that was 12' deep or deeper. The wind never let up and it kept pushing us out of our holes, even with a small anchor.
This was the first trip to Mantua for my wife and she had a great time despite the wind.

Was great spending some time with you on the water. I hope you two did well after we moved in. We found a nice BIG flat with loads of fish schooling threw about 400-500 yards from the boat launch with holes around 22 feet deep. Most fish were on the bottom so key was verticle jigging about 2-6 inches off the bottom.
